Orthopedic Surgery - Foot and Ankle

UVA Orthopedics is seeking a full time Foot & Ankle, Trauma Surgeon to join our busy and established group in Culpeper, Virginia.

Our burgeoning practice is affiliated with the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Virginia, which was ranked #1 in Virginia by U.S. News and World Report. Our team consists of 10 surgeons and two Physicians Assistants.

Our physicians provide both surgical and non-surgical treatments including:

Hip, knee and shoulder arthritis (joint replacements).
Rotator cuff tears, labral tears and shoulder instability.
ACL and meniscus tears, ligament tears and knee injuries.
Carpal tunnel, trigger finger, cubital tunnel and other hand/wrist conditions.
Fracture care and repair.
Adult and pediatric spine conditions.
Surgery, rehabilitation and postoperative follow-up visits are performed at UVA Culpeper Medical Center.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Graduate of Accredited Medical School with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Completion of Accredited Residency in chosen specialty.

Licensure:

Board certification in specialty (if newly graduated from residency, must be obtained within 2 years of graduation) must be kept current, Unrestricted license to practice within the Commonwealth of Virginia, Current DEA certificate without restriction
Fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery

Culpeper, Virginia:

Centrally located between Washington, DC, and the home of Thomas Jefferson in Charlottesville to the south, lies Culpeper, the ideal mustering point for great Virginia adventures. Nestled in the Piedmont River Valley between the Rappahannock and Rapidan Rivers, the Culpeper area offers outstanding outdoor adventures, a well-preserved historic downtown with quaint boutiques, restaurants, gourmet shops, and antique stores, and beautiful Virginia countryside. Just 30 minutes to an hour south are James Madison's Montpelier in Orange County, and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello and James Monroe's Ash Lawn-Highland in Charlottesville, VA. To the east, a one-day circuit trip covers several significant battlefields of the Civil War, including the Battles of Brandy Station, Cedar Mountain, Kelly's Ford, Chancellorsville, Wilderness and Fredericksburg. En route, within one hour's drive north to Washington D.C., you can stop at Manassas Battlefield Park, Arlington National Cemetery and Mount Vernon. There are countless museums, monuments and landmarks inside the District of Columbia. Just west of Culpeper, the lush Piedmont /'horse country/' rolls into the breath-taking views of the Rappahannock countryside and on to Virginia's Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
