Central Texas Pediatric Orthopaedics (CTPO) is a private practice, all pediatric orthopaedic specialty group located in Austin, Texas. Our group consists of seven fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeons with sub-specialty focuses in hand and upper extremity, foot and ankle, sports medicine, limb deformity, spinal deformity, and neuromuscular disorders. We are seeking a qualified candidate to transition the practice of a partner exiting the group. The ideal candidate will have an interest in trauma and lower extremity with a potential to develop a subspecialty interest in limb deformity or hip preservation.
CTPO provides full-time orthopaedic call coverage for the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, a Level-1 trauma center and free-standing pediatric hospital located centrally in the city of Austin. In addition, our group covers the Dell Children’s North location, a free-standing Level-3 trauma center. We see patients in sub-specialty hospital-based clinics as well as at three private offices located throughout the city. CTPO also provides physical therapy services through five therapy offices.
Candidates will have an opportunity to obtain a voluntary full academic appointment through the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. Our group is intimately involved with the medical school and enjoys collaborative research efforts with the University. The pediatric orthopaedic service at Dell Children’s is covered full time by residents, giving ample opportunity to provide resident education.
Ideal candidates will be driven to take on the challenges of building a private practice in a rapidly growing market. Austin is consistently rated as one of the most desirable cities in which to live. The area provides opportunity for year-round outdoor recreation with a plethora of trails, parks, rivers, and lakes to explore all within driving distance.
