Children’s Orthopaedic and Scoliosis Surgery Associates, LLP (COSSA) is a physician-owned pediatric orthopaedic group based in St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Lakewood Ranch, Florida .
COSSA is the regional referral center for complex pediatric orthopaedic care. We are recruiting three pediatric orthopaedic surgeons to join our dynamic and collegial team of six fellowship-trained physicians.
1. General Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon – Immediate Opening
- Broad-based generalist role with a mix of trauma, hip, foot & ankle, neuromuscular, and sports
- No primary focus in spine
- Large referral base and high clinical volume
2. Pediatric Spine Surgeon – Immediate Opening
- Fellowship-trained Pediatric Spine Surgeon to assume an established high-volume scoliosis and spinal deformity practice
- Replacing a respected senior partner who is retiring
- Dedicated spine clinic days, protected OR access, intraoperative neuromonitoring, and advanced pediatric anesthesia support
3. General Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon – (Available Late 2026)
- Senior-level opportunity to lead the development of a new practice site north of Tampa.
- Requires substantial experience and confidence working independently
- Ideal for a generalist with broad expertise in trauma, hip, foot & ankle, neuromuscular, and sports

Requirements:

Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency program

Fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedics (General or Spine, depending on role)

Eligible for or certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery

Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license

Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and collaborative practice

For the future North Tampa position: minimum of 5 years' post-fellowship experience preferred, with ability to work independently in a geographically remote setting
