Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join a highly regarded hospital employed practice.
Candidates will flourish in this unique position which offers a rare balance of exciting and diverse hand and wrist surgery with an excellent work-life balance. Candidates will join a group of collaborative orthopedic trauma surgeons and enjoy support from three hand surgeons from the plastic surgery division.
The position offers the convenience of a single campus where the patients come to you, with potential for growth into smaller community locations. You will enjoy a clinically focused and efficient practice. There is volume in common hand issues, nerve compression syndromes, tendinopathies, arthritis, and complex hand and wrist.
Hand call is currently shared by a hospital employed plastic/hand surgeon, general trained hand surgeon, a community orthopedic hand surgery, and a second incoming plastic/hand surgeon and should range from 1:3-1:4. Call is highly manageable in this community.
