Our client isseeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hand Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions related to the hand, wrist, and forearm. This role involves both surgical and non-surgical interventions aimed at improving patients' functional outcomes and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with hand, wrist, and forearm conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for various conditions such as fractures, arthritis, tendon injuries, and congenital abnormalities.
- Perform complex surgical interventions as needed, including hand reconstruction, tendon repair, and joint replacement, while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize conservative treatment options such as splinting, physical therapy, and medication management to address patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care, supporting informed decision-making.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay current with advancements in hand surgery and related fields, participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery with a subspecialty in Hand Surgery, or in Plastic Surgery with hand surgery fellowship training.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in hand surgery or a related field preferred.
- Expertise in both surgical and non-surgical treatment of hand and wrist conditions, strong diagnostic skills, and excellent communication abilities.
- Valid medical license in California and any additional certifications required for practice.
Compensation: $400-500K DOE plus bonus and benefits
